Toastmasters International, a grassroots organization with almost 250,000 members in 106 countries. District 6 is our local administrative unit. Most leadership positions are filled by volunteers, which affords the membership valuable experience in leadership.
Experienced professionals and beginning speakers alike can benefit from our practical, face-to-face learning program. You'll learn and practice in a friendly, comfortable environment with people who are there for the same reason you areto become better communicators. Capitol Square Toastmasters is unique because about half its membership are employees of the
Minnesota Department of Education. This club is known for thoughtful speeches by its membership and a caring, nurturing learning environment.
At Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation.
